leif ariel:

I'm Leif. I support psychotherapists and care practitioners in claiming full responsibility for how they feel and who they are in their practice. I’ve experienced first hand how chronic burnout and compassion fatigue can be wakeup calls that transform a practice…and a life.

I got my hands in the dirt, literally, working as a wilderness therapy fieldguide for 9 years. Through thousands of days (and tens of thousands of clients hours) of walking the Utah desert, sitting in circles, being with clients in the depths and heights of their very very human experience, I learned what it means to stay with myself while also being of the deepest service to my clients.

I learned how to be free:
Even when the snow is falling and the fire goes out. Even when the client is in turmoil and my self-doubts are creeping in. I can still be my full self.

I received further training, graduating from the rigorous 4-yr certification program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, which combines transpersonal psychology and deep study of developmental trauma, with the energetic underpinnings of the human psyche.

There I become enamored with the creative process: Confronting resistance, allowing the full experience of pain and beauty, feeling the core of who I am, being inspired to truly live.

I see clients in Durango, CO and remotely.
